In Snapchat’s latest update, a new dark mode feature was added to Snap Map. This dark mode can also be turned on for individual chats by following these steps. How to enable dark mode in your snap map: Before you begin, make sure you have updated your app to version 10.21 or higher (the latest version of Snapchat). If you don’t see it yet, give it time—the rollout has only just begun! Once that's done, follow these instructions: Open up your Settings menu from within Snapchat; Select Manage Preferences under Additional Services; Select Darken Colors; Now select Dark Theme at Night; Hit Done; You will now see Dark Mode active on your map whenever night mode is enabled.

There's no word yet on when Android users will be able to get their hands on dark mode, but it could come as soon as December 2017 given that Google hinted at dark mode support coming to some of its own apps in Oreo (the latest version of Android).
